Description
Heavily contaminated water flows can contain sand, potting soil, sludge, and other solid contaminants. The Trumma is developed to separate these solids from the liquid and is suitable for applications such as barrel washers, cultivation involving large amounts of sand or potting soil, potting soil processing, wastewater treatment, and food processing.
The heart of the Trumma consists of a perforated stainless steel cylinder lined on the inside with a FilterFlex cloth. The slow rotation keeps the influent in motion. The liquid flows through the filter cloth into the collection tank, while the solid contaminants remain in the cylinder and are discharged through a discharge hopper due to the rotation. In this way, solids and liquids are separated through a combination of rotation, filtration, and gravity.
The Trumma is available in four models with capacities ranging from less than 5 to a maximum of 100 m³/hour. Depending on the application, you can choose from FilterFlex cloths with a mesh size of 40, 80, 160, 250, or 500 microns. The final capacity depends on the selected mesh size and the contaminant load in the water.
