The Allen-Bradley SMC-3 soft starter is a compact, highly versatile solid-state motor starter, which has 3-phase control and is designed for 3-phase motors. The product has a wide range of applications, including compressors, pumps, fans, conveyor belts and chillers.
The SMC-3 soft starter features protection against phase rotation, a built-in motor protection relay and a built-in SCR bypass relay on all three phases. It also has the smallest dimensions of all well-known soft starters on the market. The soft starter has several DIP switches for setting the required configuration. Available accessories include auxiliary contacts, cooling fans, connecting modules for magnetic reed switches and IEC touch guards.
