Van der Ende Group recently took an important step in the further professionalization of its production process. With a major expansion of the production area, additional assembly lines and a test line have been added for the production of, among other things, the Kathari ultrafiltration, the Nexus HPRO reverse osmosis and other water treatment systems. This expansion and redesign are a response to growing market demand. The improvement of the production process has made assembly more efficient and shortened delivery times.
The changes within production include an optimized process layout, with different production phases now better aligned with each other. The frame is manufactured in the construction department, after which pumps and valves are assembled in the small assembly department. The electrical components are integrated into the switch cabinets in the electrical department, and the complete system is then assembled in the large assembly department. Van der Ende Group applies the ‘One Piece Flow’ methodology, which further reduces lead times and makes production more efficient. By cleverly distributing these activities across multiple production areas, considerable time savings have been achieved.
Fully in-house production and strategic stock
What sets Van der Ende Group apart is that the entire production process takes place in-house: from frame construction, switch cabinet construction, and software development to complete mechanical and electrical assembly. Nothing is outsourced. This vertical integration ensures maximum control over quality, lead time, and delivery reliability.
In addition, the company has started to build up a strategic inventory. Thanks to the modular design of the systems, fixed components can be assembled in advance. This allows the company to respond more quickly to customer requests without compromising on quality and reliability.
Tested in-house – reliable start-up worldwide
To guarantee continuity and quality, all systems are extensively tested in the test department after assembly. This enables Van der Ende Group to guarantee efficient commissioning on site, resulting in a fast and reliable start-up, anywhere in the world.
International clout through strong organization
The renovation and process optimization are the result of months of preparation and thorough analysis. By centralizing the various production steps at a single location and taking a critical look at workplace layout, tools, and information provision, quality assurance is better than ever. Thanks to a strong organization, multiple locations, a global dealer network, and a high level of service, Van der Ende Group is able to operate internationally in a fast, reliable, and solution-oriented manner.
“With this investment, we have not only increased our production capacity, but we can also respond more quickly to market demand. Thanks to a more efficient working method and strategic stockpiling, we are able to serve our customers even better,” says Micha van Nieuwkerk, CCO of Van der Ende Group.
With this professionalization drive, Van der Ende Group is strengthening its position as a specialist in water treatment solutions and continues to innovate in the field of sustainable and efficient production methods.
