Multistage pump

A multistage pump is a centrifugal pump with multiple impellers that have the effect of increasing pressure. This is a variation on the single stage or single impeller centrifugal pump. A multistage pump is intended mainly for situations where fluid must be pumped at high pressure through a system, and across large distances.
